'Ramarao On Duty': Ravi Teja-starrer gears up for June release
Ramarao On Duty finally gets a release date. Starring Ravi Teja, the action thriller will hit the marquee on June 17. For now, the film has no competition at the box office. The only other Telugu film releasing in June this year is Ante Sundaraniki, which has Nani in the lead. Teja was last seen in the critical and commercial failure called Khiladi.
- Initially, the makers had planned to release the film on March 25.
- But as soon as the team behind RRR locked the date, Ramarao on Duty's team pushed the premiere date.
- Notably, the Telugu film had hit the floors in July last year but due to COVID-19, its production schedule got delayed.
- Now it's finally ready for release, so Teja's fans, rejoice!
A fortnight back, Teja reportedly went to Spain to shoot two song sequences for the film. Reports suggest that after wrapping this final leg, the team would start the promotional activities. To fasten up the process, makers are also working on the film's post-production simultaneously. Ramarao On Duty has been directed by Sarath Mandava and will be Teja's second release in 2022 after Khiladi.
Apart from Teja, the film co-stars Rajisha Vijayan, Divyansha Kaushik, Venu Thottempudi, Nassar, Naresh, John Vijay, and Pavitra Lokesh. Earlier this month, makers released a teaser that was packed with fight scenes. It ended with the words, "Get ready to face it." Meanwhile, Ramarao on Duty's cinematography is being handled by Sathyan Sooryan ISC, while Praveen KL is taking care of the edits.
The movie is bankrolled by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner of SLV Cinemas LLP and RT Teamworks. As far as Ramarao On Duty's OTT rights are concerned, SonyLIV has bagged the same. Separately, Teja is also shooting Trinadha Rao Nakkina's action entertainer Dhamaka, which hit the floors last year in October. Further, he has Tiger Nageswara Rao and Sudheer Varma's Ravanasura in the pipeline.
