Ranbir talks about father Rishi Kapoor's health
Last September, Rishi Kapoor left his fans worried when he moved to New York for medical treatment of an undisclosed illness. Ever since his family members, including his son Ranbir, have been visiting him there every few months. However, all this while, Ranbir didn't say much about Rishi's health. Just recently, he broke his silence and revealed that Rishi is recovering well.
Father is doing very well, will be back soon: Ranbir
Talking to media at a recent event, Ranbir discussed about his father's medical condition and stated that Rishi is in a better condition now. He also revealed that the veteran actor is missing his home and will be coming back to India soon. "Well, he's doing very well and he will be back very soon," Ranbir was quoted saying.
Rishi is missing working in films, informs his son
Given his health condition, Rishi, who was last seen in 2018 release Rajma Chawal, has taken a break from movies for his recovery. However, he is yearning to get back to work. "He is missing his movies and he is missing working in films. I really hope that with all your wishes and prayers he comes back very soon," Ranbir had stated.
Earlier, media reports claimed Rishi would return by March-end
Meanwhile, there were reports that Rishi would be back in India by March end. However, the reports turned out to be mere speculations as he is yet to finalize his return. Clearing the air about his return, a source close to the Kapoors stated that Rishi is homesick. However, his treatment is slow, as a result of which, he isn't ready to return.
Rishi, Neetu have 'a wedding to plan,' says source
The reports further suggested that Ranbir is planning to marry girlfriend Alia Bhatt soon. So, the Kapoors and Bhatts would be meeting a pandit to finalize the wedding date in April. But now they will have to wait until Rishi's return. "Rishi is very eager to return home. They have a wedding to plan. And he's counting days," the source stated.
