Rukmini Vasanth to headline new pan-India film after 'Toxic'

Actor Rukmini Vasanth, who is awaiting the release of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, directed by Geetu Mohandas, has teamed up with KVN Productions for a new Kannada project, reported Cinema Express. The project may have a pan-India release and has already gone on floors. It might also feature acclaimed director Hemanth M Rao, who previously worked with Vasanth on Sapta Sagaradaache Ello.

In Toxic, Vasanth plays Mellisa, a character defined by poise, power, and quiet authority. This is her first time teaming up with Yash under Mohandas's direction. The film positions Vasanth as the leading Kannada heroine among a star-studded cast that includes Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Kiara Advani, and Tara Sutaria.

Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been shot simultaneously in English and Kannada, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. The film boasts a stellar technical team, including composer Ravi Basrur, editor Ujwal Kulkarni, National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, production designer TP Abid, and action sequences choreographed by Hollywood stunt director JJ Perry, along with Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee. It is set to release on June 4.
