Sajid Nadiadwala, the prominent Bollywood producer, has stepped down as the president of the Indian Film & TV Producers Council (IFTPC) after 13 years. His decision was announced during the council's 34th annual general meeting. Ratan Jain, a veteran of over three decades in Bollywood and former head of IFTPC from 2010-2012, has been appointed as his successor.

Nadiadwala's farewell speech emphasized need for new leadership
During his farewell speech, Nadiadwala stressed the importance of new leadership in the council. He also nominated Jain as his successor, a decision that was unanimously accepted by the members present at the meeting. The council honored Nadiadwala with a bouquet from NR Pachisia and a memento from Jamnadas Majethia for his contributions during his tenure.

Newly elected board for 2025-26
Jain, who heads the Venus Group, has produced several successful films including Khiladi, Dhadkan, Humraaz, Baazigar, and Garam Masala. The newly elected 2025-26 board features Majethia as Chairman (TV & Web), with Nitin Vaidya, Pachisia, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Rajat Rawail, Madhu Mantena, Shyamashis Bhattacharya, and Abhimanyu Singh as directors. Ramesh Taurani will serve as Honorary Adviser.
