Santosh Pandit, well-known for his social media content, has been accused of sexually harassing a woman journalist during a protest in Pune on Tuesday.
The protest, held at Tilak Road against self-styled godman Ashok Kumar Kharat, ended with the journalist filing a complaint and police registering an FIR.
Pandit faces Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita charges
Police say Pandit used obscene language, made lewd comments about the journalist's clothing, filmed her without consent, and threatened other women at the event.
He's now facing charges under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita for sexual harassment, stalking, and criminal intimidation.
An investigation is ongoing as Pandit continues to have a large following on Instagram and YouTube for his civic-focused content.
