Sardaar Ji 3 sparks national controversy

Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3, starring Diljit Dosanjh, is facing heat from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) for casting Pakistani actress Hania Aamir.
FWICE has written to the Prime Minister, claiming Aamir's social media activity is "anti-India" and accusing the filmmakers of ignoring national sensitivities during ongoing India-Pakistan tensions.

Film still set to release tomorrow

FWICE has urged that those involved with the film lose their Indian citizenship, saying working with someone who "supports terrorism against India" is unacceptable.
Despite all this, Sardaar Ji 3 is still set to release overseas on June 27, and the filmmakers haven't responded publicly yet.
