Serena Williams dropped massive 'Avengers: Endgame' spoiler before deleting post
Avengers: Endgame is going to hit theaters on April 26 and fans are excited to see how the Avengers regroup to reverse the catastrophic effects of Thanos' finger snap in Avengers: Infinity War. While details about the film have been kept under wraps, stopping spoilers completely is a near impossible task and tennis star Serena Williams just dropped a huge one. Read it here.
Williams was fangirling over Chris Evans, the actor who plays Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, on the Oscars red carpet when she dropped a huge secret. In a deleted Instagram video, Williams could be seen standing several feet away from Evans pretending to take a selfie, so the actor did not realize he was being recorded, before giving the Endgame spoiler.
Williams, gushing over Evans, said in the video 'I was devastated that he died in that movie, Avengers'. The deal is, Cap did not die in Infinity War so the only film Williams could be referring to is Endgame. Things took an even more mysterious turn when Williams deleted her video soon after. However, by then, it had made its way to fan sites.
While Williams' statement might have shocked fans, it is doubtful how the star came across the film, since it has not been screened yet and details are being tightly guarded. Perhaps she was basing her statement off fan theories surrounding Captain America's death.
Fan theories have been circulating for a long time that Evans' character will die in the movie. This is substantiated by the fact that the actor's contract with the MCU has ended and he posted a teary note of farewell when he wrapped up filming for Endgame, as we had reported. Perhaps Williams' video has just confirmed our theories and worst fears about Cap.
