'King': SRK to resume shoot soon, set for high-octane stunts

After an exciting weekend of birthday celebrations, Shah Rukh Khan is set to return to the sets of his upcoming film King on November 5. The actor will be shooting an action sequence at Yash Raj Studios in Andheri, Mumbai. A source told Mid-Day that the stunt team has been preparing for this part of the shoot for nearly three weeks.

The upcoming schedule of King will focus on a high-complexity action block. The source revealed, "It's a hybrid chase-combat sequence that begins with hand-to-hand combat stitched with tactical gun choreography." "The set-piece will also have wire-assist jumps and close-quarter grappling. The team is working with a custom-designed stunt rig and Shah Rukh will perform several key beats himself," they added. Meanwhile, the film's teaser was released on Sunday. The movie will hit screens next year.

King is a special project for Khan as it is his first on-screen collaboration with his daughter Suhana Khan. The film, directed by Siddharth Anand, features Khan in the role of an assassin. The team started shooting in June 2025 and plans to complete most of the dramatic portions by the end of this year. "After that, some primary action sequences as well as songs will be left," added the source. Rani Mukerji and Deepika Padukone also star alongside Khan.
