On superstar Shah Rukh Khan's 60th birthday on Sunday (November 2), director Siddharth Anand has finally announced their upcoming collaboration, King. Anand took to social media to share an exciting teaser that shows Khan in a never-before-seen look. The action-drama also features Arshad Warsi, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, and Suhana Khan in her theatrical debut. It will be released next year.

Story
Storyline and supporting cast members
King is allegedly inspired by the 1994 French film Leon: The Professional. The original movie, directed by Luc Besson and featuring Jean Reno, tells the story of a professional hitman who becomes the guardian of a 12-year-old girl after her family is brutally murdered. Raghav Juyal, Abhay Verma, Saurabh Shukla, and Jaideep Ahlawat also star in the movie.

Speaking about the film earlier, SRK said, "Siddharth Anand is very strict. He made Pathaan also. He has asked me not to reveal what we are doing. I can't tell you but I can assure you that it will be entertaining." "The team is working very hard. We are making a great film for everyone," he added. Anand replaced Sujoy Ghosh as the director.
