Singh's 'Pralay' shoot at Azad Maidan postpones youth matches

Ranveer Singh's new movie Pralay is being filmed at Azad Maidan, and that's caused a bit of a stir.
The shoot forced Under-14 and Under-16 cricket matches to be postponed, leaving young players and the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) frustrated.
MCA Apex Council member Nadim Memon pointed out this is the first time a film crew has taken over this iconic cricket ground.
MCA wants Azad Maidan for sports
The MCA feels Azad Maidan should stay focused on sports, not movie shoots.
Memon shared that allowing films here "Azad Maidan's sporting culture is being affected by the Sports Department," and worries it could hurt Mumbai's sporting culture.
The association wants the Sports Department to rethink letting future shoots happen at venues meant for young athletes.
