Sivakarthikeyan-Sai Pallavi's 'Amaran' kicks off IFFI 2025

Amaran, a Tamil war-action film starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, is set to open the Indian Panorama section at this year's International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa on November 21.
The premiere will see big names like producers Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran, director Rajkumar Periasamy, and the lead stars in attendance.

Award buzz and box office success

Not just an opener—Amaran is also up for the Golden Peacock Award in IFFI's International Competition, making it one of the few Indian films nominated this year.
Inspired by real-life military heroics during the 2014 Qazipathri Operation, the film has already scored big at the box office since its release in October 2024.
