Smriti Mandhana-Palash Muchhal's wedding postponed after family emergency

Entertainment

Smriti Mandhana and composer Palash Muchhal have postponed their wedding, which was set for November 23, after Mandhana's father suffered a heart attack.
He's currently in the hospital, and both families are asking for privacy as they focus on his recovery.

Pre-wedding festivities paused

The couple had already kicked off pre-wedding celebrations—Mehendi, Haldi, and Sangeet—with several of Mandhana's Women's World Cup-winning teammates joining in.
After the emergency, Mandhana removed all wedding posts from her social media and is now prioritizing her family.

Their story so far

Mandhana and Muchhal started dating in 2019 but only went public with their relationship last year.
They got engaged at Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium—the same ground where Mandhana helped India win the Women's World Cup.
The pre-wedding fun even included a cricket match between "Bride Team" and "Groom Team," featuring her international teammates.
The wedding was planned for Sangli, her hometown.
