Soni files Mumbai FIR against Singh, Chauhan over 'Paid paalki'

Satendra Soni, who you might know from Aamir Khan's Laapataa Ladies, has filed an FIR in Mumbai against filmmaker Pushpendra Singh and his wife, actor Pragati Chauhan.
He says the two assaulted him, held him against his will, threatened him, and didn't pay his dues during the June 2026 shoot of their film Paid Paalki.
AICWA backs Soni, police probe ongoing
The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) is backing Soni and another actor with similar complaints.
Their president facilitated a meeting with Maharashtra's home minister to push for a proper probe.
The police are now looking into the case under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
