Sharing details about the statue, Lizzie Parkinson, Costumier from Merlin Magic Making team in the UK stated that it was a challenging yet interesting project for them. "Her crown, cuffs, earrings and dress brooch were 3D-printed and went through numerous tests to achieve the level of detail needed. It was a joy to see everyone's work come together," she had stated earlier.
According to media reports, Sridevi's wax statue will be placed at a Mr. India set in the Ultimate Film Star Experience (UFSE) zone. The set will, reportedly, have a special memorial wall where Sridevi's fans from across the world can leave messages for her.
Meanwhile, Boney had also expressed his gratitude towards Madame Tussauds Singapore for honoring Sridevi posthumously. "I am touched that Madame Tussauds is honoring Sridevi and her work by having her figure immortalized. I (along) with my family will be (a) part of the occasion at the unveiling in Madame Tussauds Singapore at Ultimate Film Star Experience," the renowned producer had tweeted back then.
To recall, Sridevi breathed her last on February 24, 2018, in a Dubai hotel. She was there to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding. While there were speculations about her death, it was later reported that she died due to accidental drowning in the bathtub.
