'SRK never discussed money with my father': Karan Johar
Karan Johar just shared a rare insight about his friendship with Shah Rukh Khan, saying SRK is the only actor who's never discussed money with him or his late father, Yash Johar.
On Komal Nahta's podcast, Karan said, "He's the only actor who has never talked money with me. He never talked about it with my father (Yash Johar)."
SRK's unique approach to filmmaking
According to Karan, when he directs a film, SRK doesn't even ask for the script—he simply says, "These are my dates."
As for payment? SRK leaves it up to Karan: "Whatever you want to pay."
This stands out in Bollywood where most actors negotiate fees and rarely adjust them if films flop.
More on their friendship
While most industry relationships are all business, Karan called SRK more like a friend and brother.
Their bond goes back to classics like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), and they still exchange gifts—SRK apparently opens presents "with the joy of a child."
