Per reports, Suriya's wife-actor Jyotika and their children have shifted their base to Mumbai. It is reportedly because of this reason that the Soorarai Pottru actor is frequently seen traveling to the B-town.

Speaking of his work front, the actor is gearing up to enter the Hindi film industry as a producer. His production house, 2D Entertainment will be backing the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru which will star Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan in the lead roles. Rumored to be titled Start-up, Suriya will also reportedly play a cameo in the movie.
