San Diego's Comic-Con which kicked off on 9 July is full of surprising line-ups for the fans this year. Starting from the usual Game of Thrones Q&A and Star Wars: The Force Awakens to the Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 2 and The Simpsons, many such popular series will entertain the masses. People will also witness a twisted version of the Pride and Prejudice.

History
How it all began?

Comic-Con International is an annual comic and multigenre entertainment convention held at San Diego, California. It was started in 1970 by Shel Dorf, Richard Alf, Ken Krueger, Mike Towry and Greg Bear. It originally showcased films, TV series and other arts related only to comic books and science fiction/fantasy. But now ,it also has diverse pop culture and entertainment elements in its program.

Comic-Con: A big hit among people!

Fans from all around the world wait eagerly for this comic convention and the tickets are generally sold out within minutes. Enthusiastic fans attend the four-day convention dressed in various colourful dresses of their favourite comic characters. The ticket price for 3 days for an adult is $50 and for teenagers aged 13-17, military personnel and senior citizens, it is $25.

Hundreds and thousands of people attend comic cons every year but San Diego Comic-Con has sustained a 100,000+ attendee record since 2006.

San Diego v/s Salt Lake Comic-Con

San Diego Comic-Con International had trademarked "Comic-Con" in 2005. It had threatened legal action against anyone who used the word "Comic-Con" in their own conventions. Following this, they had filed a lawsuit against Salt Lake City Comic Con for using their "creativity, ingenuity, and hard work," by using the phrase on one of their skinned vehicles to willfully confuse the attendees and fans.

Preview Night: Sherlock and Batman vs Superman

The preview night at Comic-Con 2015 threw some big hints for the fans so as to what they could expect this year. First look of the Dark Knight's gadgets from Batman vs Superman was released and it showcased the range of weapons which Ben Affleck will be using. Meanwhile, at the Sherlock season 4 trailer release Moriarty's return was hinted, which shocked fans.
