    How it all began?

Comic-Con International is an annual comic and multigenre entertainment convention held at San Diego, California. It was started in 1970 by Shel Dorf, Richard Alf, Ken Krueger, Mike Towry and Greg Bear. It originally showcased films, TV series and other arts related only to comic books and science fiction/fantasy. But now ,it also has diverse pop culture and entertainment elements in its program.

Enthusiastic fans attend the four-day convention dressed in various colourful dresses of their favourite comic characters. The ticket price for 3 days for an adult is $50 and for teenagers aged 13-17, military personnel and senior citizens, it is $25.

    The more, the merrier!

Hundreds and thousands of people attend comic cons every year but San Diego Comic-Con has sustained a 100,000+ attendee record since 2006.

San Diego v/s Salt Lake Comic-Con

San Diego Comic-Con International had trademarked "Comic-Con" in 2005. It had threatened legal action against anyone who used the word "Comic-Con" in their own conventions. Following this, they had filed a lawsuit against Salt Lake City Comic Con for using their "creativity, ingenuity, and hard work," by using the phrase on one of their skinned vehicles to willfully confuse the attendees and fans.
