As we all fondly remember, Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer light-hearted comedy-drama Shubh Mangal Saavdhan had released in 2017. And now, a sequel of the movie is in the making. While the previous installment highlighted the sensitive issue of sexual dysfunction in marriage, the new edition is based on a gay love-story. Actor Jitendra Kumar to romance Ayushmann?

According to a BollywoodLife report, actor Jitendra Kumar alias Jeetu, who has been a part of various web-series including the likes of TVF Pitchers, will be seen starring opposite Ayushmann in the sequel film. "The makers wanted a relatively fresh face and after doing the rounds of auditions, Jitendra fitted all the bills," it adds.

Jitendra Kumar, popular known as Jeetu, is known for his roles in various comedy-sketches of The Viral Fever (TVF). Some of his successful shows are Permanent Roommates, TVF Pitchers, and the latest sensation Kota Factory. He also recently featured in Gone Kesh alongside Shweta Tripathi.

The film will release on Valentine's day, next year

Written and directed by Hitesh Kewalya, and backed by Aanand L. Rai, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan will showcase a gay love story set in small-town India. The movie is slated to release on Valentine's Day, ie. February 14, 2020.
