Varun becomes youngest Bollywood-actor to get statue at Madame Tussauds
Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, whose latest release Judwaa 2 has already crossed the Rs. 200-crore mark, has yet another reason to celebrate apart from delivering nine back-to-back hits. He has become the youngest Bollywood celebrity ever to have a wax statue at Madame Tussauds museum. The 30-year-old's wax statue would be unveiled at Madame Tussauds' Hong Kong center in 2018. Huge honour can't wait to come there and stare down my wax figure. Thank you https://t.co/b0OrfTuFMb— Varun Dhawan (@Varun_dvn) October 16, 2017
Saying that he was quite surprised, Varun added: "I remember, as a kid in my holidays, visiting Madame Tussauds and clicking pictures with Mahatma Gandhi's statue. This is a huge deal for me to be the youngest actor from India to get his own statue."
Madame Tussauds' sculpting team arrived in Mumbai for taking Varun Dhawan's measurements and matching his hair and eye colors for the statue. The actor said it was a great experience and took to Twitter to share the pictures. Varun would be the fourth Indian face at the museum's Hong Kong center, the other three being Mahatma Gandhi, PM Narendra Modi, and Amitabh Bachchan.
Varun Dhawan has joined other Bollywood celebs, who have their identical wax statues at Madame Tussauds around the world. They include Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
