Vijay Deverakonda and Dil Raju announce new film

Despite the underwhelming box office performance of their previous film Family Star, actor Vijay Deverakonda and producer Dil Raju are joining forces once again. This new project is part of a two-film agreement between the duo. The upcoming rural action drama will be directed by Ravi Kiran Kola, known for his debut Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru. This marks the 59th production under Raju's banner, SVC.

While announcing the project, the production house wrote on social media, "A Larger-than-life "Rural Action Drama" is on the cards." They defined the film as a "mass endeavor." Further details about the upcoming film will be unveiled on May 9, coinciding with Deverakonda's birthday. Despite the lukewarm reception of their last collaboration, Raju remains enthusiastic about this new project with Deverakonda.

Deverakonda's last films and series of flops
Deverakonda's last film, Family Star, was released in April and also stars Mrunal Thakur. However, it failed to perform per expectationns and was thrashed on social media due to its misogynistic messaging. It was directed by Parasuram. Before Family Star, Deverakonda received back-to-back setbacks in the form of Kushi and Liger. The latter was his Bollywood debut and also featured Ananya Panday.
