Vijay Deverakonda, Prakash Raj summoned by Telangana CID in betting case

Actors Prakash Raj and Vijay Deverakonda have been summoned by Telangana's CID as part of a probe into illegal online betting apps.
The investigation is looking at whether they promoted unregulated platforms that break Indian gambling laws.

Both questioned earlier by ED

Before this, both were questioned by the Enforcement Directorate about possible money laundering linked to these apps.
Raids across several states have led to eight arrests and digital evidence being seized.
While Deverakonda says he only endorsed a legal, skill-based gaming app—not betting—no charges have been filed against either actor so far.
The case has raised questions about the influence of celebrity endorsements in India's online gaming sector.
