Vijay Deverakonda's 'Kingdom' heads to Sri Lanka tomorrow

Vijay Deverakonda's action-packed film Kingdom is heading to Sri Lankan theaters on August 8, 2025, with a Tamil-dubbed version showing across 20 screens.
Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the movie follows Surya "Suri," a police constable who goes undercover to take down a smuggling ring.

Box office collection so far

Kingdom kicked off strong in India, collecting ₹40.9 crore net in its first weekend but saw earnings slow to ₹44.6 crore by day six as weekdays hit.
Fans have loved the high-energy action and Deverakonda's performance—many are calling it one of his best—though some critics felt the plot was predictable.
Despite mixed reviews, the film is holding steady and now expanding its reach beyond India.
