Vijay Sethupathi joins Rajinikanth in 'Jailer 2'

Big news for movie fans: Vijay Sethupathi is making a special cameo in Jailer 2, stepping in for Nandamuri Balakrishna.
He's already started shooting, and this marks his second team-up with Rajinikanth after Petta (2019).
Looks like the sequel is shaping up to be even bigger!

What else to know

Jailer 2 is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and aims to wrap filming by February 2026, with a summer release planned.
Mohanlal and Dr. Shiva Rajkumar are back, while Mithun Chakraborty and Vidya Balan join the cast.
After this project, Rajinikanth will move on to work with Kamal Haasan's production house.
