Sigourney Weaver returns as Kiri, while Stephen Lang is back as Colonel Quaritch. The film introduces the Ash People, a new Na'vi clan associated with fire and destruction, led by an uncompromising leader, Varang.

The first Avatar film earned $232 million worldwide on its opening day, while The Way of Water debuted at $441 million globally. Both films crossed the $2 billion mark. In India, the movie minted ₹20 crore on Friday, reported Sacnilk. Up next, Avatar 4 is set to release on December 21, 2029, followed by Avatar 5 on December 19, 2031. Meanwhile, the third major expansion of the Frontiers of Pandora video game was launched on Friday.
