'XO, Kitty' S03 trailer: Will Kitty find her happy ending?
What's the story
Netflix has dropped the trailer for the third season of XO, Kitty. The To All the Boys I've Loved Before spinoff is back with more romance and chaos. The new season will premiere on April 2 and will see Kitty navigating her last year at the Korean Independent School of Seoul, or KISS. However, as per the trailer, things may not go as planned for Kitty (Anna Cathcart).
Plot details
Kitty's 'Senior Sunset List' takes center stage
In the trailer, Kitty reveals her "Senior Sunset List," a plan for her final year filled with experiences she wants to have before graduation. This includes deciding on college applications, celebrating Chuseok with her Korean family, and spending quality time with friends. However, a major item on this list is figuring out her relationship with Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee), someone who went from a frenemy to a crush.
Relationship dynamics
The series thrives on complicated relationships
XO, Kitty has always thrived on complicated relationships. When the series started, Kitty moved to Seoul to be with her long-distance boyfriend Dae (Minyeong Choi), but their relationship eventually fell apart. This led to unexpected feelings for Yuri (Gia Kim), someone she initially disliked. This realization sparked a wave of bisexual panic and helped Kitty better understand her identity and what she truly wants from love.
Inclusivity
Embracing queer storytelling; lack of love triangle
The show has continued to embrace queer storytelling in meaningful ways. Kitty openly identifies as bisexual, and her best friend Q (Anthony Keyvan) is the group's proudly gay confidant. Another change this season is the lack of a love triangle for Kitty. It looks like she's sure of her feelings for Min Ho, and she seems to debate whether a romantic relationship should be her priority.
Special appearance
Lana Condor will return as Lara Jean
Lana Condor, who played Lara Jean Covey in the To All the Boys movies, will be returning to XO, Kitty. In the series, she will remind Kitty that life doesn't stop for one complicated relationship and sometimes it's best to follow your heart. Created by Jenny Han, XO, Kitty continues to blend romance and humor in a way that has resonated with fans worldwide.
