2 youths killed, 2 injured in car-metro pillar collision

Early Saturday morning in Kochi, a speeding car slammed into a metro pillar on Edappally-Mamangalam Road, claiming the lives of Muneer (21) and Haroon Shaji (22), both from Alappuzha.
Two other occupants in the car—Yakub (20), who was driving, and Adhil (20)—were badly injured and are now receiving treatment at a private hospital in the city.

Police launch investigation, citing over-speeding as crash cause

Police have launched an investigation, citing over-speeding and reckless driving as key reasons for the crash.
A case has been registered under sections for rash driving and causing death by negligence.
Officers are reviewing CCTV footage to piece together what happened before the accident.
