On Saturday, a school bus carrying 31 girls from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Chandwara overturned into a gorge on the Ranchi-Patna highway in Jharkhand's Koderma district.
The students were headed to Rajgir and Nalanda for an educational tour when the accident happened.
Most students safe, some still under care
All 31 girls were taken to Sadar Hospital right after the crash.
Ten were discharged quickly, while 21 are still being monitored—three to four girls sustained deep injuries, but their conditions are not serious.
Most are expected to go home by this evening.
Officials step in, investigation launched
Deputy Commissioner Rituraj visited the hospital to check on the students and has ordered an investigation into what caused the accident.
The bus was one of two carrying a total of 71 students on this trip. School officials have confirmed these details as authorities look for answers.
