65-year-old man, granddaughter killed by minor driver in Tamil Nadu

A 16-year-old boy crashed into a bike on the Tirunelveli-Kanniyakumari Highway, causing the deaths of 65-year-old Joseph and his six-year-old granddaughter.
He fled the scene but was later tracked down by police and sent to a Government Observation Home.

The teen's mother was also arrested for letting him drive without a license and is now in judicial custody.
Police say parents will face legal action if they allow minors to drive, hoping this will help prevent more accidents like this one.
