A twisted tale of murder and greed in Jhansi

In Jhansi, 29-year-old Pooja has been arrested for allegedly murdering her mother-in-law, Sushila Devi (54), after a long-running fight over family land.
The incident happened on June 24 in Kumhariya village.
Police found Sushila's home ransacked, with gold jewelry worth ₹8 lakh, a motorbike, and a pistol missing.
Investigators say Pooja teamed up with her sister Kamla and Kamla's partner Anil Verma to carry out the murder and theft.

TL;DR

Accused wanted to sell disputed land

Pooja tried to run but was caught within two days along with her accomplices.
During questioning, she admitted to planning the murder so she could sell the disputed 16-bigha plot that Sushila refused to let go of.
Police also learned that Pooja had lived with both her late husband Kalyan Singh and another brother-in-law Santosh.
Now, authorities are looking into whether the deaths of both brothers-in-law might be linked to this case as well.
