Acid attack in Tripura injures woman, FIR filed
Rina Begum, 26, was badly hurt in an acid attack while using the toilet outside her house in Sonamura, Tripura, on Sunday night.
The attacker targeted her lower body, leaving her with severe burns on her hands and legs.
She was rushed to a local clinic and then shifted to a bigger hospital in Agartala for treatment.
Second such incident in 2 weeks
Police have named three suspects—Suman Miah, Rubel Hussein, and Farid Miah—and filed an FIR against them.
They believe personal enmity might be behind the attack but are still looking at all angles.
No arrests have been made yet, despite strong demands from locals for quick action.
This is the second acid attack reported in Tripura within two weeks, raising serious concerns about safety and calls for tougher laws to prevent such crimes.
