Adityanath's strict directives for Kanwar Yatra

With the Kanwar Yatra set for July 11 to August 9, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered all meat and liquor shops along the pilgrimage route to close as a mark of respect for religious sentiments.
He's also urging officials to keep things smooth, safe, and well-coordinated during the event.

Adityanath wants extra focus on security: no provocative music or slogans in sensitive spots like Ghaziabad, and strict vigilance in districts bordering Uttarakhand.
He's made it clear—no weapon displays or slum evictions during the yatra.
The CM also warned against any attempts to stir up caste tensions and reminded officials to be responsive on public helplines and roll out school policies based on local needs.
