All pan masala packs must show prices from February 2026
From February 1, 2026, every pan masala pack in India—no matter how small—will have to clearly display its retail price and other key info on the label.
This new rule is part of a push by the government to make pricing more transparent and protect buyers.
No more hidden prices, even on tiny packs
Earlier, small packs under 10gm could skip showing prices, but not anymore.
Now, whether you grab a mini or a mega pack, you'll know exactly what you should pay.
The goal is to keep things fair for everyone and make sure brands play by the rules.
Better tax tracking and fewer shady practices
By making retail prices visible on all packs, it'll also be easier for authorities to track GST (tax) collection and spot any sketchy pricing tricks.
In short: this move helps both consumers and the system stay clear about what's being sold—and at what cost.
