Ambedkar statue vandalized in Ballia, sparking local protests

On November 26, unidentified people damaged a statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in Rampur Asli village, Ballia district—breaking off one of its fingers.
This is the fifth time such vandalism has happened in the area, and locals are understandably upset.

Authorities respond, villagers call for better protection

After villagers discovered the damage and expressed their anger and submitted a memorandum, local officials visited the site and promised strict action.
