Amit Bhardwaj is an Indian businessman, entrepreneur, investor, and Bitcoin miner. He is popularly known as the founder and CEO of GB Miners which was later discovered as a scam website. In 2016, he also founded Amaze Mining and Research Limited which is an Alt-coin Mining Technology firm. He played a crucial role in introducing bitcoins to investors and traders in India and also educated them about Bitcoin’s power. Bhardwaj was born on January 17, 1983, and had studied in the Mahatma Gandhi Mission’s College of Engineering and Technology. Bhardwaj is known as the founder of the safe Bitcoin wallet ‘CoinBank,’ which was also found to be a scam company. He also coined a new cryptocurrency called MCAP. Bhardwaj has invested in various companies and industries including 1Hash, Airbitz, Rock Miner, Air Selfie, and Alpha Point. He had a keen interest in coding and had written several books on cryptocurrency. Bhardwaj was arrested in 2018 for the $300 million Bitcoin scam which is considered to be one of the biggest Bitcoin scams.

Bitcoin scam: Director of GainBitcoin firm booked by Chandigarh police

The cyber cell of Chandigarh police has booked six people, including the director of GainBitcoin, an online multi-level marketing company, Amit Bhardwaj, who was arrested from Delhi by the Pune police last month in connection with an alleged multi-crore Bitcoin Ponzi scheme.

IIT entrepreneurs arrested in Rs. 2,000cr bitcoin scam

Serial entrepreneurs Sahil Baghla and Nikunj Jain, co-founders of the Guguram-based Darwin Labs, were arrested today for their alleged links to Amit Bhardwaj.
