Army, IAF join forces for big joint exercise in Arunachal

India

The Indian Army and Air Force are teaming up this week for a big joint exercise in Arunachal Pradesh, running from November 10 to 15.
The goal? Sharpening their teamwork and firepower skills in the tough Himalayan terrain.
They're using all sorts of high-tech gear—think helicopters, drones, and even space-based tools—to keep an eye on things and spot targets more precisely.

Exercise focuses on integrating tech and teamwork for better defense

This drill isn't just about showing off cool equipment like long-range rockets, artillery guns, armed choppers, swarm drones, and loitering munitions.
It's also about practicing how both forces can plan together and react fast—even when electronic signals are jammed.
Reviewed by Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, the exercise highlights how India's military is getting smarter with tech and tighter as a team to protect its borders.
