India
Bengaluru-based engineer Srinath, 30, was murdered after a financial fallout with two men he knew—Prabhakar and Jagadish, both with violent criminal histories.
Srinath had reportedly lent Prabhakar ₹40 lakh and pressed for repayment over the last three months.
The accused allegedly lured him to Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, where they killed him with a hammer and buried his body inside a house.
How police cracked the case
When Srinath didn't return home, his wife filed a missing person report at Attibele Police Station.
During the investigation, police discovered both suspects had a history of prior murders.
After being questioned, Prabhakar and Jagadish confessed to the crime and led officers to Srinath's body.
The pair were arrested on Tuesday.
