Bengaluru is still the highest paying city in India, says a Randstad study, whose last year's survey had the Garden City at numero uno position as well. The annual average CTC the city offers a professional hovers around Rs. 11 lakh, followed by Pune that pays Rs. 10 lakh, followed by NCR, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. Kolkata at 7th pays Rs. 7 lakh.

FMCG, IT next ones
Pharma, healthcare pay highest, GST specialists next

The survey that studied 1,00,000 jobs across 20 industry verticals and 15 functions said pharma and healthcare sectors are highest-paying, with average annual CTC of around Rs. 10 lakhs. This trend can be attributed to rising demand for specialist doctors and professionals with R&D skills. Second highest-paying jobs are for GST implementation and compliance specialists. FMCG, IT and real estate grabbed next few spots.
