Bengaluru traffic cops collect ₹207cr in fines this year
Bengaluru's traffic cops have smashed their own record, collecting a massive ₹207 crore in fines from January to October 2025.
This jump happened after they offered a 50% discount on pending fines for 23 days, which cleared nearly 4 lakh cases and brought in over half the year's total.
Most violations were caught by automated cameras, making enforcement faster than ever.
Helmet rule violations dominate list
Helmet rule breakers topped the charts—both riders and pillion passengers racked up over 24 lakh cases.
Wrong parking, jumping signals, and skipping seat belts were also big issues.
The rebate drive outperformed last year's campaign by miles (₹106 crore vs just ₹84.91 crore).
With Bengaluru now home to over 1.2 crore vehicles, these fines are more than just numbers—they're funding government schemes and pushing for safer streets as the city keeps growing.
