Bihar on flood alert after 4 days of heavy rain

The IMD has put 28 districts in Bihar—including Patna, Gaya, Rohtas, and Bhagalpur—on flash flood alert after four days of heavy rain from a Bay of Bengal weather system.
The region is still seeing more rain and rising water levels.

Flooding, waterlogging in Bihar

Flooding and waterlogging are already hitting homes, schools, hospitals, and roads across Bihar. Places like Barauni got over 160mm of rain in just one day, with parts of Sasaram city and even a medical college campus underwater.
