How Army men turned grief into strength at soldier's sister wedding
When soldier Ashish Kumar lost his life during Operation Alert in Arunachal Pradesh last year, his absence was deeply felt by his family—especially at his sister Aradhana's wedding in Bharli village, Himachal Pradesh.
But Ashish's Army friends from the 19 Grenadiers Battalion made sure she wasn't alone on her big day.
From walking her to the mandap to performing rituals
Dressed in uniform, soldiers and ex-servicemen joined Aradhana for all the wedding rituals a brother would do—including walking her to the mandap.
Their presence turned grief into strength, showing how the Army looks after its own, even beyond duty.
They gave her an FD in Ashish's name
To cap it off, the soldiers gave Aradhana a fixed deposit in Ashish's name—a gesture to say they'll always have her back.
They even escorted her to her new home, making sure their friend's promise as a brother was honored with pride and heart.
