Boy, 7, beaten to death by mother for asking chicken

A heartbreaking case from Dhansar village, Palghar (Maharashtra) has shocked the community—a seven-year-old boy was allegedly beaten to death by his mother after he asked for chicken.
Police have arrested the mother and filed a murder case.

What the police investigation revealed

The incident only came out when a neighbor questioned the mother's story that jaundice caused her son's death.
Noticing injuries on the boy's body, they alerted police, who began investigating.
The mother later admitted she attacked her son with a rolling pin; his older sister was also hurt and is now safe at an ashram while authorities continue their inquiry.
