Chandigarh is colder than some hill stations right now
India
Chandigarh just had a chilly night, with temperatures dropping to 8.4°C—colder than Shimla (9°C) and Dharamshala (9.8°C).
Even Kasauli was warmer at 11.4°C.
This is the city's coldest November night since 2020, so if you're feeling that extra nip in the air, you're not imagining it!
What's causing the chill—and how's the air?
According to IMD's Surender Paul, cold and dry northwesterly winds from the hills are behind this temperature dip.
Daytime temps are holding steady around 27°C, which is pretty normal for November here.
On the bright side, Chandigarh's air quality stays in the 'moderate' zone with an AQI of 122, so while it's getting colder, pollution isn't spiking for now.
