Cyclone alert: IMD warns of heavy rain in southern states
Heads up, folks in the south—IMD says a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal could bring some serious rain to Andaman and Nicobar Islands from November 22 to 27, Tamil Nadu from November 22 to 25, Kerala from November 22 to 26, and also mentions coastal Karnataka.
The heaviest showers are expected on November 24 and 25 in Andaman and Nicobar Islands as the system may strengthen into a depression.

Fishermen are being told to avoid the Andaman Sea until at least November 23 since winds could reach up to 55km/h.
Thunderstorms with lightning are likely in Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema through November 24.
If you're near Port Blair or planning any beach time, keep an eye out—authorities have issued a caution for strong sea currents and rough waves.
