Delhi Police seize nearly ₹6cr counterfeit medicines including rabies vaccines
Delhi Police just uncovered a huge fake medicine operation in Mukherjee Nagar, North Delhi.
In a raid, they seized counterfeit drugs worth nearly ₹6 crore (including life-saving medicines like rabies vaccines, insulin, antibiotics, and cancer treatments) that were being illegally repackaged and sold.
Group relabeled UP hospital medicines
The group behind this included Manoj Kumar Jain (alleged ringleader), Raju Kumar, Vikram Singh alias Sunny, and Vatan.
They sourced government medicines from hospitals in Uttar Pradesh, relabeled them using special machines in Delhi, and sent them out as far as West Bengal and the Northeast.
Police found nearly 1,000 fake rabies vaccine vials and thousands of other medicines during the bust.
An FIR has been filed as authorities dig deeper into their network.
