Delhi school suspends principal, teachers after student's suicide

A heartbreaking incident at St Columba's School in Delhi: 16-year-old Shourya Patil died by suicide on November 18, leaving behind a note blaming specific teachers for repeated harassment and torture.
He took his life at Rajendra Place Metro Station.
The school has now suspended its principal and the three teachers named in the police case.

Allegations of bullying spark protests

Shourya's father says repeated complaints about body-shaming and mockery were ignored by the school.
Classmates shared that Shourya felt "tortured" for months, often punished for small things and singled out during dance practice.
His death has led to protests outside the school, with students and parents demanding accountability as police investigate further.
