Delhi's air quality hits 'severe' levels again

India

Delhi's air quality just hit "severe" levels in several areas, with the city recording an average AQI of 361—making it India's second most polluted city.
Spots like Wazirpur and Vivek Vihar even crossed AQI 400, which is pretty worrying if you're stepping outside.

Pollution levels in neighboring areas

It's not just Delhi; places like Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad are also dealing with hazardous air.
Even though pollution is spiking, stricter anti-pollution measures (GRAP Stage 3) haven't kicked in yet.
Officials say this is because things are a bit better than last year thanks to dust control and anti-smog efforts—but if pollution keeps rising, that could change fast.
The DPCC also says almost all their air monitoring stations are working and promises transparency about the data.
