Delhi's air quality nears 'severe' level; what to expect

India

Delhi woke up to seriously bad air on Friday, with pollution levels spiking across the city.
The overall Air Quality Index hit 384—firmly in the "very poor" zone—and half of Delhi's monitoring stations showed "severe" pollution.
Breathing easy? Not so much today.

How are different areas doing?

Neighborhoods like Anand Vihar, Bawana, and Ashok Vihar saw AQI numbers soar above 410, while spots like ITO and Najafgarh weren't far behind.
Noida and Greater Noida also struggled with very poor air.
Ghaziabad had mixed results, but Loni stood out for all the wrong reasons with a severe AQI of 425.

Any relief nearby?

Gurugram and Faridabad fared a bit better, with some stations showing only moderate pollution.
Still, forecasts say Delhi's air will likely stay "very poor," possibly dipping into "severe" again soon.
Expect cloudy skies and foggy vibes this weekend, with temperatures between 8°C and 27°C.
