ED accuses Al-Falah University chancellor of land fraud
Big news: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has accused Javed Ahmed Siddiqui, Chancellor of Al-Falah University, of grabbing land in Delhi using fake paperwork.
According to the ED, he used a forged power of attorney—listing even people who had passed away decades ago—to shift the property to his own trust.
Siddiqui is now in ED custody while they dig deeper.
What else is going on?
Siddiqui's arrest on November 18 is tied to a wider probe after Al-Falah University was linked to a recent car blast near Delhi's Red Fort.
The investigation has also uncovered nine shell companies connected to the university group and raised questions about its claimed academic recognitions.
The ED has already raided 25 places linked to the university as part of this ongoing investigation.
