Finance Minister Sitharaman begins 4-Day Ladakh visit
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman just landed in Leh for a four-day trip focused on boosting Ladakh's development. Greeted by local leaders and officials, she's here to connect with the region's administration and check in on developmental projects.
Sitharaman to meet regional leaders
Sitharaman will meet with members of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council and other regional leaders to talk about ongoing projects and what's next for Ladakh. She'll also be inaugurating new development initiatives, showing that the government is serious about building up this unique region.
Credit outreach program
A key part of her visit is leading a credit outreach program, which aims to make financial services more accessible and help drive economic growth locally. She'll also tour places like Nyoma, Hanle, and Rezangla to see how current projects are shaping up—highlighting efforts to bring real progress to Ladakh.
