Four individuals electrocuted in separate up incidents
In Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, four people lost their lives in separate electrocution accidents over just two days.
On Thursday night, 10-year-old Ismail was fatally shocked by a table fan at home, and his mother, Alam Ara (45), also died while trying to save him.
The next day, Halima (50) was electrocuted by a fan in a nearby village and passed away at the hospital.
Three separate cases
A third case involved Chintaram (23), who had recently come back from Mumbai and was electrocuted by a decorative light at home.
All deaths are being treated as accidental; early checks suggest possible electrical faults but no signs of foul play or negligence so far.
Police are investigating appliance safety and have sent the bodies for post-mortem exams to confirm the causes.
